Virtual Moon Palace Book Fair:  Friday-Sunday, December 4-6

Get ready to purchase books for winter reading, holiday gift giving, a Hiawatha/Howe classroom, and whatever else motivates you to read and support a small business right in our community!  PTO has partnered with Moon Palace Books (located on Minnehaha Ave) for many years to do an in-person book fair and we are so excited to bring back this beloved event virtually!  Moon Palace Books is currently only open for pick up at their window counter or shipping.  Moon Palace gives PTO 10% of the profit when our school is mentioned Dec 4-6; and PTO uses those funds to buy books for our classrooms.

Here is the scoop:

  • Make online purchases December 4, 5 or 6 at: https://moonpalacebooks.com/ and put "Hiawatha/Howe" in the instruction box under Additional Information. Moon Palace Books created a fantastic instruction booklet with all the details you need.
  • Moon Palace will email/text you when your order is ready to be picked up at their store window or there is a shipping option (for an additional cost).
  • You can see if the item is in stock or if they will have to order it.  Most orders placed that weekend should arrive within 2 weeks.
  • You can purchase books for a classroom that has requested them at: http://moonpalacebooks.com/hiawatha.  You can do this as a separate order from other books you purchase OR in the same order; either way clearly state which titles are for what classrooms.  PTO will pick up all the books for classrooms and we will be sure to include which books came from our families.

Our teachers and principals will be reading books over Zoom starting at 10 am on Saturday, December 5--link to come!  Tell your family, friends and neighbors!  Any purchase made Dec 4-6 at Moon Palace that mentions Hiawatha/Howe gives credit to our school.  Moon Palace has more than books--fun art supplies for example!  Thank you in advance for supporting this business in our community.
