Parents and students can learn together.
If every parent had the tools to teach their own children to read in a comfortable and supportive home environment, not only would this give children a head start in life, it would enable every child to master basic skills in before being dropped into a second language learning environment.
Start a Reading Revolution!
If parents take a bit of time each day to teach their children letters, numbers, colors and three words from a list of ten frequently used word families, before sending them off to school, we will witness a reading revolution at Hiawatha.
If we were good, we can be better, and we can even be the best!
Our ESL students love ebooks and interactive vocabulary. They are eager learners with Prometheam board. They are not afraid to show what they learned and know.
